Cranberry Sauce
Cranberry Sauce
It’s almost Thanksgiving, the menu is planned, the guests are invited, everything is almost ready for the celebration.
Cranberry sauce is on the menu and you may have your grandmas recipe for the best sauce in the world, but if you don’t, try this recipe. I make my sauce from cranberries I pick in the muskegs around my house but you can use the ones you buy in the store too. This recipe is very easy so try it, you’ll love it.
You will need:
4 Cups of cranberries
1 Cup Water
3 Cups Sugar
2 Tbs vinegar
1 cinnamon stick
Measure the berries into a pot and add the water. Bring the berries and water to a rolling boil then turn the temp down to medium and let them simmer for about 15 minutes. It’s fun to hear them pop. After they’ve simmered for 15 minutes add 3 cups sugar, 2 Tbs vinegar and the cinnamon stick. Turn the stove temp down to medium low and let the sauce simmer, stirring often.
