Baking is one of our family traditions that traveled to America from the ‘old country,’ Norway and Sweden, with my grandparents. They brought lots of recipes for goodies that they claimed were butter and love. The recipes come out around Thanksgiving and Christmas when people bustle around the kitchen making grandmas fattigmann, or aunties Finnish Biscuit. The smell of cardamom and ginger permeate the house. I am sharing my favorites with you.
