Everyone Loves A Mystery
If you are a quilter and you want a good mystery project, check out Quilting Gail’s Fall ‘24 Jelly Roll Mystery Quilt. By the time I read my email the second clue had been released, but it’s easy to catch up.
The first step in this mystery is to find your fabrics. I have lots of jelly rolls sitting on the shelf in my sewing room. I am in love with the Bonnie and Camille fabrics because they are so bright and cheerful. This little fabric bundle is a sampler for their ‘Shine On’ collection. I purchased this bundle at least 4 years ago, but you can still find fabrics from this collection in shops and on-line.
The great thing about doing a mystery with Pre-cuts is, many of the fabric pieces are cut for you.
Clue 1 asks you to cut your background fabric.
I love to sew in my schoolhouse at Point Agassiz and this project packed up nicely for the trip. I keep the basics, at the schoolhouse, like everything I need for cutting, piecing and ironing so the fabrics didn’t take much room in my backpack. This plain white is a little wrinkly but it will iron flat.
Cutting complete
Clue 2 has you doing a little sewing.
